Pupils will have completed 12 lessons prior to this one and learnt all about the Micro:Bit, including how to connect it to the computer or tablet and copy code across. They will have also have experienced connecting a speaker to the Micro:Bit. This is the first lesson using LEDs.
The lession starts with a practical exercise to reinforce what an algorithm is.

To write an algorithm that uses Inputs (the buttons) to control the Output (LED's) and turn the lights on and off.

Equipment needed

Equipment needed

Computer / Ipad, Micro:Bit, battery pack or USb lead, 3 LEDs per pair, masking tape, tin foil and 4 crocodile clips per pair.
